Private studios are calmer, typically offering a more tranquil setting, with Santa free to engage more with your little ones. They tend to have a beautiful setting, more time to relax, and with booked times you don’t have to wait around in large cues for your turn. There are plenty of gorgeous options around for families who are looking for beautiful Christmas photos. However, if you want Santa in the photos there are less options, and due to the lower volume and high cost of providing these beautiful settings, private studio Santa photos can be harder to fit into the budget.

Even our “short” sessions are longer than any shopping centre Santa visit, and our extended sessions are twice as long as most private studios. This gives children time to relax, explore the set, and chat to Santa without feeling hurried. Perfect for kids who need extra time to settle, larger families who want each child to have their own turn with Santa, or kids with boundless energy who need answers to a million questions.

Here’s where the magic really happens: somehow, Santa always seems to know a little extra about each child who visits him at the Mackay Santa Experience. Maybe it’s the work of his Christmas elves, passing along important notes before each visit?

Santa is also very knowledgeable about many things, including elf traditions, toys, popular trends, sports, movies, and music, so he’s prepared to chat away with your child about almost anything.

Our pricing is straightforward and affordable. We offer two clear packages to choose from. It can be hard to find Santa photos for less than $100, let alone less than $50, especially with the digital photo included, but that’s exactly what you get with us.

1- A Simple Santa Experience for $30 (or $40 with pets). Session Fee includes:
- 1 professionally edited digital image of your choice
- Up to ten minutes with Santa
- The option to add Santa gifts, Instant Photos and Decorations at our budget-friendly pricing
- The option to purchase additional digital photos for just $10 each!
2- A Super Santa Experience for $90 (or $100 with pets). Session Fee includes:
- All professionally edited images in your gallery (Sessions typically result in 10-20 images)
- Up to 30 minutes with Santa
- The option to add Santa gifts, Instant Photos, and Decorations at our budget-friendly pricing
- Option for Family Christmas Photos without Santa
With our studio located in North Mackay, close to Mt Pleasant and not too far from Canelands, it’s easy to fit into your Christmas errands.

With our Simple Santa Session you get 1 photo included, which is perfect for families just wanting that 1 Christmas photo. However if you do want a few more, extras are only $10 each!
If you want more value with more photos, including a mixture of posed and candid photos that capture the joy of your session, a Super Santa Session gives longer time with Santa and your gallery of digital photos all inclusive in the session fee.
If you want to take a memory home while you are waiting for your digital photos you can always add on a budget friendly Instant Photo or several! These photos are offered at incredible value for all guests, and the come with a bonus frame that you can choose, meaning your photo can be set on your desk in a stand frame, stuck to your fridge, or even hung on your tree!
